Hello! I’m so glad you found me.

Choosing to hire someone to complete work for you can be really personal, whether it’s a basic website build, or a full scale house renovation. I believe it’s important to get to know each other and make sure we are a good fit. Here’s a little bit about me, and how I’ve arrived at where I am today…

I’ve always had an interest in design in all aspects. In preschool I was obsessed with building house layouts with blocks in the free play time. In year 6, I designed the grade yearbook - my first real intro to graphic design. In year 12, I completed a major work for Design and Technology - a set of architectural plans for an imagined development on Sydney Harbour.

After high school, I decided to follow my passion for graphic design and I went to UTS to study a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, majoring in Advertising. This degree furthered by graphic design skills, and introduced me to web design.

My Timeline

  • 2013 - 2015

Straight out of uni, I started at a below the line advertising agency, where I managed several local area marketing programs. Over 700 franchisees had a direct phone line to my desk. I was on hand to provide marketing advice, and help them organise artwork and printing, and events and sponsorships. I also worked on national promotions and charity partnerships, including websites, eDMs and digital marketing.

My time agency-side was fun, and I had learnt a lot of valuable skills. However, after a couple of years of working 10-12+ hour days, I was burnt out. I left at the end of 2015, and took 12 months off to re-set and re-evaluate. During this time, I decided to undertake yoga teacher training, and enrolled myself in a 200hr course starting in March 2017.

  • 2016 - 2018

While I was preparing for teacher training, I was approached by a few local businesses needing websites and small graphic design projects. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I had my own business.

Between 2017 and 2018, I completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training, began teaching classes, and completed over 25 websites. I loved the balance of teaching yoga and creating websites.

  • 2019 - 2023

In 2019/2020, things really changed for yoga and I stopped teaching. I became exceptionally busy helping businesses transition online. Staying home and working online didn’t really bother me, but it did make me question where my passions were. I began looking for a course I could do in my spare time ‘for fun’.

I stumbled upon TAFE Digital and their Building Design course. Two years full time, all online, and self-paced. I completed the degree with Distinction in 2023. It was hard work, but so enjoyable, and I knew this was work I wanted to pursue.

  • 2024

I’ve now been running my business for 10 years, and have consolidated this work to website design and spacial design for homes and businesses.

Everything I do (both home design and web design) includes elements of logic, strategy, design and creativity.

I’m so grateful that I get to do work that’s varied, that balances form and function, and that sometimes challenges me to solve problems creatively.

why metta?

Metta is a Pali word that means ‘an attitude of goodwill - wishing others well’. It’s also a well-known type of Buddhist meditation, often translated as ‘loving-kindness’. It’s this attitude that I bring to each and every project I work on.

I also love that meta with one t has a few relevant meanings for me personally, and for my profession.

For example, metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that examines the fundamental nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, between substance and attribute, and between potentiality and actuality. I’ve explored this a lot through yoga training.

Metadata, on the other hand, is relevant to websites, and is data that provides information on other data. A reminder of the importance of the fine details.
